Heading into the block
I headed to work and John and Kelly waited for the "kids" to arrive so that they could start their day's adventure.

Even had youngsters along
Their group was very large and they had planned to do the quad rally associated with the Rodeo however changed their mind and headed down into "The Block".    There were kids of every size with the group and that included babies!!  Well toddlers really.  Apparently fun was had by all from what I hear but it was a long ride and there were lots of tired folks dragging themselves back into Leoville at the end of the day.

Although the ride wasn't really that long, when you have that many riders and some of them are kids riding smaller quads and some are on dirt bikes the "short" ride becomes a LONG ride.
When I arrived home after my shift, there was no one in the yard and it was already dark.  Gary heard me at home and invited me over for a beer.  He was not able to go on the ride as his quad was in need of repairs.  I think he was kind of glad since it was now dark and the group was not home yet!!
Eventually the riders all started coming in a few at a time and everyone was off the trail by 11:30 so that was a good thing.

Wouldn't be a fun day without putting Kermit on his side!
There were all kinds of stories being told and Kelly had a few choice words about John's driving as he apparently had our side by side on its side in a mud puddle - no surprise there!!  Kelly was riding with John for the day as I was working so thought riding in the side by side would be a change of pace for her.   Little did she know that she would be dumped in a mud puddle and eventually be called upon to ride her granddaughter's little 110 quad home as Kayton was simply too tired to drive it anymore.   Holy Buckets......that must have been a sight to behold!!   LOL

All in all, it sounds like everyone had fun.  The folks were tired, dirty and chilly but no one got hurt and all quads and dirtbikes returned in one piece.  They got to see some amazing sights and once again, we got to share our great Northern Forest and some of its amazing trails with some "first timers"!!  Life is Good!!
