Another watering hole for the desert cows
This week was our last week to enjoy in Arizona.  Our winter adventures have come to an end and we now are required to be back in Canada.  The camper was finally finished with all the clothes and food packed.  With that being done, we took one last trip into the desert with the dogs and the side by sides.  This time, we headed across the highway to explore the trails over there.  It was a nice trip and the trails were pretty smooth.
The dogs were really concerned about the cows and vice versa!!
We had to make a quick trip into Wickenburg to the vet for Hank.  He has been battling an ear infection for a while now and since John and I are headed home, I thought it best if we got the ear checked out before we leave.  Elise and the rest of the vet team loved Hank and of course he had to great them with that foolish little grin that he does!!  He was a hit.  They want to see him again in about 10 days to reevaluate his ear but Kay is on her own for that one.

All to soon we had to say  our goodbyes and headed north, home to Canada.  It was with some trepidation that we left as we are still  very much into this global pandemic so we really did not know what issues we would encounter on the journey home.   We were equipped with facial masks and  disinfectant wipes and we hoped that was all we were going to need.  Time will tell......
Hooked up and ready to head North

We headed out and were not too far down the highway before we got a reminder about the perils of driving the two lane highways.  A semi truck, obviously in a hurry, pulled out to pass two vehicles in front of us without any concern as to oncoming traffic and actually forced not one, but two, oncoming vehicles onto the shoulder of the road in order to get ahead of everyone!!  Holy Buckets, not a good way to start our journey.
We headed out of Arizona and into Nevada only to find that the road through Lake Mead Park had been closed due to the Corona virus so this meant that we had to go through Las Vegas.  Oh well, we hadn't been this way for a while so onward we went.  Because unnecessary travel  had been greatly discouraged due to the "shelter as home" orders, there was very little traffic on the freeways.  We whipped through Vegas in record time.

We were soon entering the Virgin River Canyon and back into the State of Arizona,  We camped in the canyon that first night and it was good to arrive at our first destination.   We arrived in good time and had a bit of time to enjoy the evening before calling it a day.   Life is Good!!

Our spot for the first night of our trip home

We sailed through Utah and the traffic of Salt Lake City.  Again, the number of cars on the interstate was minimal and we made good time thru the whole area.  Idaho was just ahead.
Our second night on our trip home was at Downey, Idaho.  It is a small campground that one can stay in for free if you fill your truck tank with a tank of gas.  It was good for one night and we really did have a nice view of the mountains.  We heard our first Canada geese here.  It was chilly so there was definitely no sitting outside tonight.  All in all, it was a good day driving.  Life is Good.
