Marie after the night before!
We headed out to Fernie and once again, the scenery was incredible. It is hard to imaging the majestic Rocky Mountains and all the associated lakes and rivers anything but awesome.   It was a pleasure just sitting and watching the scenery.   So very different that what we see in Northern Saskatchewan.

A stop for lunch just before Sparwood, B.C
We arrived in Fernie just in time for "happy hour"!! It was 92 degrees Farenheit!!  We stopped and bought ice for the beer cooler then headed to the acreage.  Lorne was home from his day of work and both Lorne and Marilyn were very surprised to see us.  We told them we were on a booze cruise and ended up in their yard!!  It was awesome.  We set up the camper in their yard and proceeded to have several adult beverages.  One of their kids Gentry, had been staying with them for a few days as his trailer was way too hot to stay in so was seeking much cooler temperature in their basement.  Gentry cooked us burgers for supper and we sat around the campfire for the rest of the evening.  The scenery from the Earl yard was phenomenal.  I am soooo very glad we decided to make the trip!!   Life is Good.
