Cooper enjoying the ranch and the branch

Off on another road trip
Today, our trip took us up the mountain to the private property that Island Lake Lodge is situated on.  A private owner owns this huge piece of property and had chosen not to log it.  Instead, has built the lodge and left all the surrounding property in its own pristine shape.   There are various bicycle trails throughout the property and it has become another of the various "Places to bike" in the area.  It has winter time access only by the powerful "snowcats" as the depth of the snow does not allow for the use of regular vehicles.
Old Growth Cedars line the road up

We ended up at Wayne and Theresa's for supper.  Theresa ordered pizza and we all gave her the gears for actually ordering in and not making them herself (which would be her norm).  We sat around their kitchen table chatting and enjoying the evening while the pizza sat in the oven, staying warm.  Unfortunately, the pizza only dried out and we all got a good laugh about the hard crust!!  OMG...it was a really big gong show but we all got some really good belly laughs out of it!!  I am afraid Theresa will NEVER live this pizza down!!   No Mercy for her!!
Another of the Island Lake Lodges
Our evening ended up around the campfire again but Lorne and I went to bed early - No surprise there!!
Tomorrow, I think there is a wiener roast on the agenda down by Morrisey Creek.   More good times on the way......
