Sunday, March 16/2013 - Saturday, March 22/2014

Another week has come and gone and our time here in Arizona is almost over.  A few more weeks and we will be making our way home where hopefully Spring has Sprung and the warm weather has finally shown up!!
It is starting to get really warm outside and there have been a few rattlesnakes seen so we will have to watch Hogan as he is naturally curious.  Hopefully we have spent enough time with him and taught him that they are "BAD"!!
St. Patrick's Day arrived and I cooked Corned Beef and Cabbage for supper and invited Lorne and Marilyn and the neighbours over for supper.   It was a simple enough meal and was awesome.  It is one of Lorne's favourite meals Marilyn says.  We were dressed in our "green" although some of us were sorely lacking in that area so we will have to remedy that for next year.  Lorne added some "class" to the whole affair with his fancy tie!!
Kay, Marybeth and I headed to Home Depot this week to pick up her new front door which we volunteered John to put in.   We picked up the necessary supplies and then headed over to the party store to pick up some St. Patrick's Day stuff for next year.  We will not be out done next year!!
We stopped at the Trackside Bar on the way home (had to see if the Tshirts were in) and decided that we were really leading Mary Beth astray!!  I might add though, she was a pretty willing participant!!
The Tshirts weren't in so that simply means that we will have to make another trip back there….darn!!
Kay got the "all clear" on Wednesday from her doctor in regards to her cat bite.  Her arm looks good but she will carry four scars as a result.   War Wounds!!
John got the door put in and it actually went in with very little trouble and fit well.  He measured it well and of course, we managed to get the right sized door!!  The trim needs to be put on but that will be next week.  The door is going to look awesome when it is all trimmed up and painted Mary Beth's favourite colour…. green.
Friday found us in Box Canyon.  We spent the day there with Lorne and Marilyn and Kay.  Ray was busy with park stuff (someone had a water leak)  Mitch had to wait for a UPS package and Mary Beth was working.  The weather was beautiful and Hogan actually got to  swim.   There was one pretty good sized water hole there this time and he enjoyed the swim and fetching the stick.  I had made some chicken wings and potato salad and this went well with the cooler of beer!!  It was an awesome day and enjoyed by all.
We finished the week out by barhopping Saturday night away.  Man, I think I had enough fun for everyone!!   Mitch was our designated driver and for that we are forever thankful.  John cooked the regular Saturday night steak when we got home and it was delicious.  Nothing tops prime rib on the bbq!!  Thanks for the treat Kay.
Another week gone……..
