It is cloudy, overcast and windy again today but the sun is making an attempt to break through the clouds.  Hopefully it is successful and we end up with a sunny day.
It is road trip day in the Toyota.  There are a few actual "roads" through the swell suitable for a truck so today, we are taking a break from the quads and doing a truck trip.  Hopefully we come across a town with a store so that we can replenish the ice and water situation.
We headed down the interstate, stopped in Green River and loaded on the necessary supplies.  Once that was done we headed towards Hanksville.  There is a road we can access before Hanksville that will take us through the southern part of the Swell and back to the interstate.
We headed towards Temple Mountain and were once again blessed to see some totally awesome scenery.   There was miles of harsh unforgiving terrain but it is loaded with tons of off road trails.  Many of the trails on this side of the Swell are for dirt bikes, bicycles or horses…..single track vehicles only, however, quad trails are plentiful as well.  They were several boon docking sites along this road too.
We scoped out a few new camping areas and think we may move to this south side tomorrow.
Once back at camp,we waited for a bit then started our first actual campfire in the pit.  Wood is scarce around here and picking up dead fall is not really permitted.
We were going to go on another truck road trip but thought better of it since tomorrow will be a busy day on the roads with everyone heading home from the Easter weekend.

Temple Mountain - got its name because it resembles one of the
Mormon Temples

Awesome backroad

Miles of harsh, unforgiving country

The sun shining off a mountain face.  The rain was
threatening!!

Our first actual campfire…..looks like
deadfall to me!!
