Jace, Kimmy and Casey came for an overnight visit for Thanksgiving and we had an awesome visit. Jace had to come and pick up his off road truck as he was going to be doing some work on it over the winter and Casey had to move his jeep to a different spot in the yard for winter storage.
Steaks, baked potatoes and caesar salad were on the menu and it was delicious.
Gary and Dave came over Sunday morning before the kids arrived and got the moose cut up and moved over to Dave's so that it could be cut up, wrapped and frozen.  Shirley has been working a lot this summer and this is one of the few days she is off so that she is available to help with the moose project!!
Booko was taken out for another run and then had to have his yearly vet check for booster shots and to make sure he is ready for the border crossing.   His rabies shot is good till 2020 so that is nice.  He weighed in at 80 pounds which is 5 pounds more than last year so I was glad about that.   He is filling out rather nicely and his runs are building some nice muscle.   He is one healthy dog now and after his rather dubious start....it is good to know that his many medical issues are finally behind him!!
Friday arrived and with it came Kayla, Kelly and Kimmy.   They decided to come chicken hunting for the weekend so John and I were ready to party all weekend long!!   I decided to make a pot of chili in the slowcooker for one night and chicken teriyaki for the other night.  Both turned out awesome and certainly hit the spot for our mighty hunters!!
They had a great weekend and managed to get several chickens for their efforts.  They left John and I two and I was able to cook them up a few nights later.  They were quite good.  I'm supposed to be going with them them at some point but.....we will see about that!!
Another busy week behind us and we are getting closer to our date of departure.  Life is Good!!
