Sunday, October 28/2018 - Wednesday, October 31/2018

On Sunday, we bid farewell to the farm and headed for the Equestrian Campground at Sask Landing.
It is a wonderful little campground that is nestled in the poplar and maple trees along the shores of Lake Diefenbaker.  It is set up for horses and their owners.  Apparently there are tons of horse trails in the area and they are used a lot during the summer.
At this time of year of course, we are the only ones in the campground and that is perfectly okay with John and I.  There were a few prairie chickens that came for a visti and once again, our big mean, vicious pit bull was terrified of them.  Even with encouragement from John and I, there was no way he was going near those huge feathered fiends!!   I was almost embarrassed for him!!
We stayed at the campground until the 31st as we were not crossing into USA until November 1st.  On the 31st, we moved to our favourite gravel pit that sits about 20 kms from the border.   The wind was howling something fierce but we managed to stay on our wheels and got to the pit without incident.    Tomorrow, we will be in the USA and on our way to Arizona.      Life is Good!!
