Corinna, checking things out. We were off to Williams, Az and more trails. Apparently we will be camping in the Kaibab National Forest for the next few days. Pine trees and sweet forest smells, here we come. |
It was an easy trip and we were soon nestled in the ponderosa pines. We were surrounded by pine cones that had dropped from the trees and we immediately thought.......good fire starters!!
We set up camp while the cats explored their new surroundings. They must have been happy as they were now out of the desert environment and into the forest. They were very inquisitive!! Gosh, who would have ever thought that John and I would be camping with cats!!

Mowgli, out exploring his new surroundings |

First real fire on this trip |
We settled in quickly and got down to the the important stuff. Figuring out what John was going to cook us for supper, what kind of adult beverage we were to partake in and getting a fire started. Wow, we could actually have a fire with REAL wood..... not cut up 2x4s or 2x6s!! Actual Real Wood! Life truly, is Good!!
