Fire at Bernie's
A week at the farm.....always a busy place but never is one so busy that they cannot stop to smell the roses or listen to the birds chirping happily in the trees.  The weather was truly beautiful and on the really hot days, the wind was around to cool things down a bit.  Kimmy of course got sunburnt but there really is nothing new about that.  She is soooo fair skinned.
The week actually went fairly quickly.  There was doctor appointments to get to as well as the dentist. Not to mention the optometrist and of course the yearly mammogram.  Then, there was the shopping. So many needed supplies to get before heading to Leoville.  Man, the week flew by.
John and I and Kimmy drove Jace to the farm this week as seeding had begun.  We probably won't see him for a month unless there is rain in the forecast.
We also became the owners of a puppy.  A cute little thing by the name of Cooper.  He is a Bluenose Staffordshire Terrier and I am sure he will bring a few smiles to our faces once we get through the whole "puppy" thing!!  He is a rolly polly little thing with big feet and lots of skin to grow into.  He will love running around the yard in Leoville exploring all the corners.   Thank heavens the yard is completely fenced in!!
Our week at the farm culminated in a Mother's Day feast.  Karen and Lee arrived with their kids and cooked the meal and it was delicious!!  Kimmy helped too while Gloria and I sat back and relaxed.  Life is good.
