Monday, November 5/2018 - Wednesday, November 7/2018

Well, it is a new day so it is definitely going to be better.
Kay was off to work this morning with instructions for her to say that this was going to be her last day on the job.   Her hours are reducing due to the weather and she is ready to call it quits.
John and I spent the day resting and just enjoying not being in the truck after our epic day yesterday!! Booko enjoyed seeing grass again without snow and was busy reacquainting himself with Kay's two cats Sky and Corinna.   Sky of course couldn't care less about the dog and Corrina couldn't be bothered even acknowledging him.  Life is back to normal for them!!
The sunshine was wonderful and once Kay was headed home from work, John got a campfire going so that it would be blazing by the time she arrived.
Kay arrived home and we all sat around the fire enjoying the evening.   It was indeed the last day of work for Kay so we had that to toast to as well.
John gave us until Wednesday to get Kay's stuff packed and her trailer winterized before we headed out on the last leg of our journey.  We made a quick trip to Walmart and to the local grocery store. Believe it or not, we did get all her stuff packed into her truck (including the cats) and got her trailer all buttoned up and we ready to head out Wednesday afternoon.
We left ahead of the predicted winter storm and I was doing a happy dance about that.  I did not want to see one more snowflake or piece of road ice again......ever!!   The only ice I wanted to see is what was tinkling around in my glass!!
We stopped for the night in one of our old standby spots in the Virgin River Canyon.   It is quiet there although the interstate isn't too far away.  The cats were eager to check out the new digs (Sky more than Corrina) and Booko of course wouldn't let them too far out of his sight.   Whenever we wondered where Sky was we simply had to call for Booko so we knew the vicinity of Sky.  He was like the guard although I am sure Sky was him more as a pest!!
It was good to sit around the fire tonight knowing we were one day away from the house and our winter haven.   Life is Good!!
