Kay getting ready to head out

Kay was up early today getting ready to head over to Nephi.  She got the cats loaded into the truck without too much trouble, grabbed a cappuccino and headed for her summer home.  She had stuff to do when she got there and was hoping that all would go well with the RV again this year.   She is scheduled back to work on the 30th so has a few days for both her and the cats to settle into a routine before the job starts.

On the road

Shit oh dear......thought he forgot about all these damn signs!!

Snow on the mountain

Signs, signs......everywhere a sign!!

Indian Canyon north of Price Utah

Rugged country and high elevations - 9100 feet today

Snow along the road

Our spot for the night - along side a babbling brook

Big fire - lots of wood amd that was a good thing
as there was a nasty little wind blowing

"Snake" wood in the fire

Once Kay was gone, we packed up and headed out as well.   We had miles to make and our time here in the States is winding down.  The country side of Utah is so varied and today we were in the hills and upper elevations towards Price Utah.   Indian Canyon is a geological wonder and I really never get tired of traveling there.   It is a long climb to the top (9100 feet) but it is pretty.
Even before the canyon, we travelled some pretty scenic country and since we had not been on some of today's roads before, it was all new.  There was a bit of road construction but nothing that really slowed us down.
We camped for the night in Indian Canyon between Price and Duchesne.  Being in the upper elevations I thought it might be a bit chilly but I was surprised.  We settled in and got a few hours of sunshine before it fell behind the mountains.  There was a wind blowing but it settled as the evening waned.
Booko checked out the surrounding area and made a few miles again tonight.   He is still limping from when he hurt his hind leg getting out of the jeep several weeks ago but we are hoping that it will improve now that all he has to do is sit and travel home.   There are no more cats around to have to chase and get stupid with!!
I made pizza for supper and as usual.....it was delicious!!   Even if I do say so myself.  Bed soon followed as we had another long day tomorrow.
Life is Good.
