Kelly on her new to her quad
Well, I am scheduled t work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday so there was nothing in my plans other than coming home and going to bed but John and Kelly were busy enjoying the country side.  They had gone for a quad ride with Dave and Shirley and Gary down into "The Block" and came back with exciting tales of their adventures.
A huge rain storm had swept through and deposited huge hail stones in some areas and tons of rain and wind.  They got the rain and wind and Kelly found out that yes, if a trees falls in the forest and no one is around, does it make a sound!!   Apparently the wind was so strong down by Heart Lake that it felled a tree.  Kelly said it "scared the shit out of me"!!
Megan and Casey arrived back in the yard just before I got home on Sunday with their own tales of survival.  They got caught in the rain and hail and Megan's year old car is now sporting a million hail stone dents.  It really is quite a mess.  Casey said they tried to hide in the trees to minimize the damage but to no avail.  I am sure there will be some sort of insurance claim on it in the near future.  Oh well, at least they were all safe and sound.  Cars can be replaced - not so easy with people though!!

Jordan and Megan eating supper
Before I went to work this morning, I put a roast in the slow cooker so that when Casey and Megan and Gabriella and Jordan came back from Meadow Lake they could eat as they had to continue on into Saskatoon tonight.  Megan provided the roast and I cooked it and it was delicious.  Jordan ate like he was starving and even Gary enjoyed a quick ready made supper in the man cave.  All in all, it was a busy and exciting day for everyone.  Life is Good.....
