Sunday, February 28/2016 - Saturday, March 5/2016

Another busy week was upon us and Kay and I were once again, busy in the park with cleanup.  Man, I think my right hand thinks that there is supposed to be a permanent hammer or pry bar in it!!  The deconstruction continues.
The weather continues to be awesome so there are certainly no complaints there.  The little lizards are really enjoying the heat as they scoot up and down the walls all day long.  Kay's two cats are always on the lookout for whatever action they can provide!!  There have been a few scorpion sightings but no rattlesnakes and that is a very good thing.
Since we worked so hard this week, we took the weekend off and hopped into the truck and went for a few rides into the backcountry.  On Saturday we headed up towards Prescott and did a few trails around there and then on Sunday we went up into the Bagdad area and did a few trails there.  We travelled through varied terrain that went from the Hassayampa River bottom to elevations of 6800 feet in the forest and mountains around Prescott.   We had two really nice days of fun and enjoyment and not once did we feel bad about taking the weekend off!!  Lorne and Marilyn came with us and of course it is always nice to have a second vehicle along for the "just in case" moments.  Fortunately we didn't have any but we did come across a car that was stuck so had to put a tow rope onto him and get him out of his little jam.
Saturday night we stopped at the Arrowhead Bar and Grill for supper and Kay and I decided to order the prime rib (we have had it once before and it was delicious) and John, Lorne and Marilyn ordered a pizza.   Well, their pizza arrived but Kay's and my prime rib never did make it to the table!! Imagine that!!   It was a really bad gong show that night and I dare say, I will not be in any hurry to return to this particular establishment!
