Sunday, January 28/2018 - Saturday, February 3/2018

We started this week with our annual "Desert Beer" weiner roast out on Vulture Peak Road out by Truman's mine sight.  It was an awesome warm day and we arrived with the sun shining and the beer chilling in the cooler.  It wasn't long before the dog was checking out the area and we were sitting in our chairs enjoying the sights and sounds of the desert.  Of course Marilyn and I were sitting in the sunshine while John, Kay and Lorne found spots in the shade.  It was an awesome day and the hotdogs were delicious cooked over the open fire.   Man, there is something about a hotdog cooked over a bonfire!!   Mmmmmm....

Our first customers Lorne and Marilyn, left us this week
They enjoyed their stay in the Casita

Definitely Southwestern colors

Lots of work but it was worth it
Booko wants to go for a ride
This week found Lorne and Marilyn headed to Tempe where they would stay the night at the hotel then scoot over to the airport to catch their early morning flight south.  They will be leaving their truck at the hotel while they are basking in the sunshine for a month!!
This week we also showed the trailer to some perspective buyers so we will see what happens with that.
We finally managed to hang the sun and the moon on the house.  It was a simple thing to do and I wondered why it has taken us so long to get the metal art up!!
John managed to get the rod up in the laundry roon this week so now we can hang clothes as they come out of the dryer.  Kay also figured out the laundry room sink and now we have running water in there as well.   Man, all these "little" things are finally getting done up and off the "To Do" list!!

Booko had a hard day
Mitch stopped by this week on his way to Utah and stayed for the night.  He was our second guest to enjoy the apartment and said that it was very comfortable and he "really llked it"!!
It has been a busy week but we are still smiling and we are keeping our heads above water.  We always find time to spend the evening in front of the little wood burning stove in the mancave and that is a good thing.  It gives us time to reflect on the day's tasks and watch the cottontail bunnies frolic in the adjacent lot.  Life is good!!
